Club re-opening – new rules

The Club is looking forward to welcoming members back to bowling. Our Chairman, Andy Wilson, sent a letter to the membership explaining the new measures to ensure all social distancing and government guidance is adhered to.

New lighting at club

Following several issues with the lighting last year, Five Rivers are proud to announce a new lighting system that was installed by SGS in Salisbury.

The old lighting system had been in place, with periodic tube replacements and inspections, since the club first opened in 1984 and so was in need of a refresh. The new lighting system boasts single tubes every 2-3 metres along the length of the green flooding the playing surface with light.

Blaming a bad bowl on ‘shadows’ should now be a thing of the past!

Club re-opening

The Committee are pleased to announce that the Club is due to re-open on Monday 27 July. This is of course subject to on-going Government and EIBA guidance.

We are awaiting delivery of a signage and card payment system and we will notify all members of the systems to follow by e-mail/post as soon as possible.
