Five Rivers Receives Disability Mark from Disability Bowls England

Graham House, President of Five Rivers IBC, received the Bowls Disability Mark from Emma Cooper from Disability Bowls England. The Bowls Disability Mark has been developed to recognise and reward those affiliated bowls clubs who are fully inclusive and welcoming to those people who wish to bowl who have a form of disability.

The ceremony held at Five Rivers Indoor Bowls Club on Tollgate Road was attended by the Mayor Councillor Caroline Corbin and deputy Mayor Tom Corbin.

The Club has received grants from both Persimmon Homes and Salisbury Area Board to enable it to purchase an electric wheelchair. In addition it has expanded the club’s range of smaller disability aids to enable more people to participate and enjoy bowls. The Club welcomes inquiries from any group that would like to have a taster bowls session.
